Iā€™m Brian McKee. I'm a furniture designer/maker, and having had the good fortune to be a winner, in 2017/18, of the Rosemary James Memorial Trust Award, administered by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, I was enabled to embark on a long nurtured project idea. The object of the annual 'Rosie' James Award is to facilitate the 'transformation of materials through the use of sustained practice'. This merged well with my desire to use the 'magic' of steam bending to unlock the creative potential of bent wood in the design and production of useful and attractive, contemporary, hand made furniture.

The first prototypes are now emerging from the steam, sawdust and shavings. If my work is of interest to you, do check out the news page for future announcements regarding availability of products, exhibition venues and dates etc., or fill the form on my contact page so that I can keep you informed directly.

Thank you for visiting and I look forward to communicating with you personally in due course.
